The MSSL is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 MSSL University Scholarship awards for this fall.

Gregory Woodard will attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock  becoming a Red Raider this fall!  He attained an stellar 98.18 GPA while attending Brandeis High School.  Greg was a member of the Brandeis Broncos Varsity Swim Team as well as the Brandeis band. As a volunteer with the EcoBroncos he helped with recycling efforts at his school.  Greg advanced to the swim regionals while competing on the varsity Brandeis team.  

Greg began his summer league career 14 years ago with the Sonoma Ranch Renegades Swim Team.  The league wishes him well as he begins his college career.  With his drive and determination we are sure he will be successful in his chosen field.

Samantha Robles, our second scholarship winner, will be headed to the University of North Texas where she will be majoring in Rehabilitaion Studies.  Samantha was a stellar student at Johnson High School where she competed on the varsity swim team.  In 2021, Samantha placed 1st in the 6A District and Regional Championships in both 100 fly and 100 backstroke events.  Even though training takes a lot of time, Samantha was a super student having graduated with a 95+ GPA.  She looks forward to being a member of the UNT Eagle Swim Team.  

Samantha was a valuable member of the Mountain Lodge Manta Rays Swim Team for 12 years!  She loves that both Manta Rays and the Eagles Swim Teams' colors are GREEN!  Go Mean Green!!  Congratulations on your impending college career.  It's been a pleasure watching both of these young swimmer develop and grow while participants on their summer league teams for many years!
